What Information Do We Collect?
We may collect information from you when you visit our website/app, register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, or fill out a form.

We may request access to your camera and photo library so you can take, select, and upload photos within the app. We do not collect photos or videos from your device unless you choose to share them through the app.
Magic Wand Imports
When you use Magic Wand in the app or the Safari extension, it reads information from the webpage you choose to help you select an image and prepare a draft. Available information can include selected images, a title, description, price, currency, and source link. When you save or send an item, WishGenny may upload copies of the selected images and store the item details with your account or message. This content processing is separate from the limited analytics described below.
Who can see the item depends on your chosen destination, recipients, account settings, and visibility choices. My Picks and other items may be public; a Bucket is not automatically private. Recipients may retain copies of shared content. Do not import sensitive information or material you are not entitled to share.
Third-party webpages and image hosts receive normal web requests when you browse or load their content and apply their own privacy policies. The in-app browser uses a non-persistent browsing session; this does not prevent those websites from processing information about a visit. Supported versions also download a public list of approved website import restrictions. That policy request does not send the selected webpage URL, account identifiers, or authentication credentials to the policy endpoint.
Website Opt-Out Requests
The retailer opt-out page prepares an email locally in your browser. Preparing or copying the message does not submit a request, create an account, or automatically block a domain. Your email provider processes the message when you choose to send it.
When we receive a request, we use the supplied name, business, contact email, website domains, role, and any follow-up verification evidence to verify authority, communicate with the requester, review the scope, and maintain an operational record of the decision. Request contact details are not used to subscribe the requester to marketing. Do not send passwords, API keys, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information; we will explain any verification we need.
Approved blocked domains may appear in the public import-restriction list used by supported Magic Wand versions. Requester names, email addresses, verification evidence, and correspondence are not included in that public list. Request correspondence is handled by our support and email providers and retained only as needed to administer restrictions, handle disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Anonymous Website Analytics
To understand how people discover WishGenny, we record a limited sequence of interactions on our homepage, shared wish, Bucket and profile pages, and Magic Wand. These events can include a random anonymous journey identifier, an allowlisted page surface or destination, timestamps, limited campaign labels included in the link, and, for a shared wish, the shared post identifier.
Anonymous website analytics events do not include your WishGenny account ID, email address, username, contacts, device or advertising ID, IP address, or browser referrer. We do not join an anonymous website journey to a WishGenny account after sign-in.
Authenticated App Analytics
After you sign in, WishGenny records a limited set of product interactions linked to your account so we can measure whether features work and improve acquisition, activation, and retention. These interactions can include an active day, authentication method and completion, resuming an intended destination, first-wish and relationship milestones, sharing a Bucket, a first meaningful social interaction, opening a notification, and completing a strong-activation milestone. Records can also include the app build and an allowlisted surface or destination.
Authenticated app analytics do not include wish text, captions, URLs, email addresses, usernames, contacts, exact device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or unrestricted free-form properties. Access is restricted, reporting is aggregated, and account-linked analytics records are deleted when the associated WishGenny account is deleted.
We use both forms of analytics only to operate, measure, and improve WishGenny. We do not use them for third-party advertising or to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
How Do We Use The Information We Collect?
We may use collected information to personalize your experience, improve our website/app, improve customer service, process transactions, administer promotions or surveys, and send periodic emails.
When Does WishGenny Use End User Information from Third Parties?
WishGenny may collect End User Data necessary to provide services to customers. End users may voluntarily provide information made available on social media websites, and we may collect publicly available information from those sources.
When Does WishGenny Use Customer Information from Third Parties?
We may receive information from third parties when you contact us, including fraud detection services and publicly available social media information.
Do We Share the Information We Collect with Third Parties?
We may share personal and non-personal information with advertisers, sponsors, promotional and marketing partners, affiliated companies, business partners, and trusted service providers who help us operate the Service.
We may also disclose information to government or law enforcement officials, or private parties, where necessary to respond to claims, legal process, protect rights, protect safety, or comply with applicable law.

WishGenny collects personal information that you submit directly to us and may also receive personal information about you from third parties as described in this policy.
How Do We Use Your Email Address?
We use your email address for account, support, and other communications relevant to your request or use of the Service. Submitting a support or website opt-out request does not subscribe you to marketing. If you separately subscribe to marketing messages, you may unsubscribe using the link included in those messages. We do not send unsolicited commercial email.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide WishGenny to you and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or regulation.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information, including secure servers and SSL technology where appropriate. However, no security method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Could My Information Be Transferred to Other Countries?
The information you provide may be stored and processed on third-party service provider servers, including Supabase, in the region where our backend infrastructure is hosted. As a result, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws.
Is the Information Collected Through the WishGenny Service Secure?
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no system is foolproof. While we make reasonable efforts, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Can I Update or Correct My Information?
You may contact us to update or correct your personally identifiable information, change communication preferences, or request deletion of information maintained about you, subject to legal and technical limitations.
Personnel
If you are a WishGenny worker or applicant, we collect information you voluntarily provide to us and use it for human resources purposes, such as administering benefits and evaluating applicants.
Sale of Business
We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, or other transfer of all or substantially all assets of WishGenny or its affiliates.
